On the way we have two stops. The first stop for Lunch break at 1-00 PM and the second stop for a Tea break at 4-00 PM. If anyone wishes to go to the Ashram of Matha Amirtha Aananda Mayi, they can get down there and can continue the rest of the journey at any direction at a later date as per their convenience with the same ticket.
Matha Amrithanandamayi Ashram, Vallikavu (14 km from Alumkadavu) The residence and headquarters of Matha Amrithanandamayi is situated at Amrithapuri near Vallikavu where she was born., she is recognized as an extraordinary spiritual leader by the United Nations and was honored with the Gandhi-King Award for non-violence in 2002.
Karumadi this village, is known for its 10th century Karumadikkuttan statue, a black granite figure of the great Buddha, the founder of Buddhism. There are many interesting legends connected to this idol. Some people believe that it is the statue of Jaina but most of the people believe that it is the statue of Buddha.
Motorboat services are available for group tourists also.
